natsu gaiden which translates to summer side-story is as implied, a different take on the same events, or to shed light on different events altogether. In this collection of tracks, we revisit places and events from previous installments of the seasonal collection, as well as hidden, unreleased, unknown points of view. Music for summer nights, looking outside your window as the sun sets, chugging a real cold drink to fight off that pesky summer heat, finding yourself slowly smiling at a nice memory, talking to someone about parallel universes, discovering the multiverse to be real, fuzzy dream memories, getting lost in the suburbs, cloudless still nights where you can swear you can still see some light in the sky

Big ups to Brian Grainger for this fine release by Mrs. Jynx on his Recycled Plastics, label. I first heard Davidson’s music after listening to her Planet Mu LPs. There’s something about her sound that’s slightly reminiscent of Mike Paradina’s more playful melodic work, which appealed to me immediately.
